The text is a primer for introducing and disseminating the Sylhét Nagri script in the print form. It is registered in the name of Mahahmad abdul Latif who had also revised the text. The motive of the publication of the text is avowedly to popularise Sylhét Nagri script by making it alphabets and the Bengali counterpart easily available to the common people .Along with this, it is a compilation of the songs of Muniruddin, a singer-saint, popularly known as Dai Khura. These songs reflect a composite culture that characterised the region.
